The Greater Philly Water Polo Club History

Founded in the late 80's the club has a rich tradition with competition on every level. Until recently, Greater Philly included age group programming, but due to insurance and issues involving the use of pools with minors, the club has limited the involvement to those 18 years of age and older.

Today the club plays year-round with three basic seasons: winter/spring, summer, and fall. Competition centers around two primary leagues. The Main Line League runs in the winter/spring session, while the Eastern Water Polo League operates in the summer. In the fall the club enters invitational tournaments. Athletes playing year-round will compete in about 30 games per year.
